So where’s the quiet? Where’s the laid-back, peaceful lifestyle?
As someone looking for a place to call home for the second chapter of my life I don’t know whether to take this as a count against Floyd County or as a check mark on the plus side. One of the things I am looking for in a place to call home is a multitude of options. Peace and quite I can find almost anywhere…Good friends, entertainment options, good places to mingle, the option to meet new people…These are just as important if not more so.
One of the things that keeps attracting us to the Floyd area is the diversity of people that have called to area home…
Practically every rural area in the country is facing the same challenges that Floyd County is. It seems there are as many different responses as there are counties in the country.
