Snowy Majesty

“Here I sit at my desk in the middle of January, caught between two worlds. Outside, the Texas Gulf Coast is leaning into a winter that feels more like an early spring; the prognosticators are calling for a high in the mid-seventies today. It’s a far cry from the rugged, biting winters of the high country.

In the midst of this warmth, I stumbled upon a video from last autumn, captured in the Poconos of Pennsylvania. It offered a wonderful, bracing break from the humidity. Snowfall… it isn’t something we see much of in my neck of the woods, but it lives vividly in my imagination.

Take a few moments from your daily grind. Take a deep breath and feel the virtual bite in the cold mountain air. Let the Mountain Dream wash over you…”

October 29, 2011 – An early snowfall in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. I had the delightful pleasure to experience the handiwork of God!
