Thanks to the warm and very wet winter we had this year, the rosebay rhododendrons are providing us with one of the most spectacular blooms that many folks have ever seen.
Rosebay grows beside streams and in shady ravines below elevations of 5,000 feet. Right now the blooms along some trail sides and road sides are so abundant and robust it bogles the imagination. Since rosebay is one of the most common shrubs in the park, this is a sight to behold!
