Owl Day
Sunday, October 28, 1-4 pm
At the EMNC Lodge & grounds
Live owl program, owl crafts, nature walk, new bird exhibits, and refreshments will keep you engaged for the afternoon. Delaware Valley Raptor Center will be presenting five or six, live education owls. During the live owl program, you will see and hear the owl species, who reside or migrate through northeastern Pennsylvania. Register early. This one will fill quickly.
Schedule of activities:
1 pm Check-in at the Nature Center Lodge
1-2 pm Activities a owl crafts, meeting the EMNC’s live birds & explore the new bird exhibits in the Lodge.
2 pm Take a short tour through Camp Lackawanna ending at the main lodge
2:30 pm Watch the debut of “Close Encounters with Owls” presented by Bill Streeter of the Delaware Valley Raptor Center.
3:30 pm Walk back to the Nature Center Lodge for refreshments
The special event is sponsored by the Endless Mountains Visitors Bureau.
